Microsoft Access

I have never heard of this application before. When I began this assignment the application reminded me of Microsoft Excel. Although I have never used Access before the overall concept is one I am familiar with. I have created some databases similar to the one for this assignment for previous classes I have taken. Once I went through the tutorials and started to play around with the program I thought it was relatively easy to use. I think the thing that helped the most was that this program is set up a lot like the other Microsoft programs I am familiar with, so it was easy to find and use the necessary tools. I had fun completing all he different queries and manipulating the data to answer the questions. I think this could be an application the the students could use when performing data analysis. I am not entirely sure all of the applications or tasks that can be done using Access because I am still exploring it, but from what I have done this could be a fun way for students to use a program to find patterns in their data they may have otherwise missed. I will definitely be using this program in the future!
